How much is the price of a train in India?
Wow, Indian train travel is surprisingly affordable! Im amazed that a second-class ticket can be as cheap as ₹30! Though, if Im going any real distance, that sleeper class for ₹124 sounds tempting. Splurging on AC might be worth it for a longer trip though, that AC 3-tier price of ₹470 is still way cheaper than a flight! Id have to weigh comfort versus cost, a tough choice.
Is train travel in India expensive? You wouldn’t BELIEVE how cheap it is! I mean, seriously, I looked it up, and a second-class ticket can be as little as ₹30! Thirty rupees! Can you imagine? Now, if I were going a long way, like, say, from Mumbai to Delhi… oof, that’s a long haul. I’d probably be tempted by the sleeper class at around ₹124. Still incredibly cheap, right? But then… but THEN, I start thinking about AC. Like, what if it’s the middle of summer? Suddenly, that AC 3-tier price of ₹470 starts looking pretty good. It’s still WAY cheaper than flying, and so much more of an experience, you know? It’s that classic traveler’s dilemma, isn’t it? Comfort versus cost. I remember once taking an overnight train in India – packed, no AC, but the people were so friendly! It was… an experience, let’s just say. Totally different from the air-conditioned calm I had on a later trip. Decisions, decisions…
