Is it hard to get a job as an Uber driver?

So, you’re wondering if it’s hard to become an Uber driver? Honestly, it’s not rocket science, but it’s also not a walk in the park, you know? I mean, my brother-in-law, bless his heart, tried to sign up and it took him forever. He kept getting tripped up on some little thing, I think it was something about his insurance – the paperwork’s a nightmare, apparently.

I remember reading somewhere that something like 90% of applicants pass the background check, which sounds pretty good, but it still means 10% don’t make it. Think of all those people, it’s kind of sad actually. And that’s just the background check, they’re also super strict about the car itself – it needs to be a certain year, in good shape… my cousin’s car didn’t even qualify, poor guy. It’s a bit more than just jumping in your car and driving!
