Is Pokémon the Biggest Franchise Ever?

Pokémon? Biggest ever? Yeah, I guess looking at those numbers it kinda is. Ninety-two billion? Crazy.

Saw a Pikachu plush at Target last week, like, ten bucks. Makes sense, I guess, if they’re making that much bank.

Pokémon’s the highest-grossing media franchise at over $92 billion, followed by Hello Kitty and Winnie the Pooh.

What are the top 3 biggest franchises in the world?

Okay, so biggest franchises, huh? Top three? Definitely McDonald’s, no doubt about it. They’re EVERYWHERE. Seriously, I was in that tiny town in Wyoming last summer, population like, 200, and even THEY had a Mickey D’s. Crazy! Then, KFC is a solid number two, for sure. It’s been around forever, right? My grandma loved their chicken. Even now.

Taco Bell, though? Third place? I’m not so sure about that. Maybe it’s third in the US, but globally? I think Subway might give them a run for their money. Subway’s in like every single gas station. Plus, Starbucks is HUGE now. Think about it! But Taco Bell, ok fine, maybe third globally. Their marketing’s wild, I’ll give them that.

Legacy Stuff:

  • McDonald’s: The OG fast food giant. Golden arches, happy meals… it’s ingrained in culture. Seriously, they’re ubiquitous. A total empire. They even do breakfast all day! What a genius idea.

  • KFC: Colonel Sanders’ legacy lives on! Their fried chicken recipe is…legendary. It’s so simple, but it’s perfect. I mean, perfect. They’ve expanded so much since they started.

  • Taco Bell: This one is interesting. They’re known for their, uh, unique menu items and crazy marketing stunts. They appeal to a younger crowd, I feel. It’s like they’re always trying something new. That’s pretty smart.

My personal thoughts: I think Subway and Starbucks deserve more consideration. Starbucks is like, everywhere. Also, those are just American-centric examples. There are huge franchises in Asia, like that amazing ramen place I went to in Tokyo– forgot the name– that’s a massive chain. Should be up there, no?

Quelle maladie provoque la malabsorption ?

Celiac. Crohn’s. Whipple’s. Viral infections. Parasites. Gut lining issues. Maldigestion. So many things. Ugh. Wait, what about bacterial infections too? Definitely bacterial. Remember that time I had… no, not relevant. Focus. Malabsorption. Seriously, the gut is a whole ecosystem. So delicate. Wonder how many microbes are in there right now. Billions? Trillons? Need to look that up later. Intestinal mucosa. Key player. Crohn’s is awful. Whipple’s too. Must google Whipple’s disease symptoms again. Just to be sure. Though I’m fine. Probably. Gluten’s a biggie. For some people. Celiac specifically. Celiac Disease = Gluten Problems. Got it. Should probably eat more fiber. Helps digestion. Or does it? Fiber. Research later. Maybe yogurt too. Probiotics. Ugh, so much to keep track of. Intestinal villi. They absorb stuff. Right? What if they get damaged? Less absorption. Makes sense. Damaged villi = malabsorption. Need to schedule that doctor appointment. Just a checkup. Been meaning to.
