What is the largest in Vietnam?
Ho Chi Minh City is Vietnam's largest city. Boasting a population exceeding 8.4 million, it significantly surpasses other Vietnamese urban centers in size.
What is the largest thing in Vietnam?
Okay, so biggest thing in Vietnam? Tricky. Population-wise, Ho Chi Minh City, definitely. I was there last March, felt like a million motorbikes buzzing around. Crazy.
Eight point four million people? Wow. That’s a lot of pho. Seriously, the food scene alone is massive.
Biggest thing though? Maybe Son Doong cave? Heard its scale is mind-blowing. Gigantic. Absolutely enormous.
I haven’t seen it myself, unfortunately. Exploring it is pricey, like thousands of dollars. One day.
Biggest city: Ho Chi Minh City (8.4 million).
What is the biggest in Vietnam?
Ugh, biggest in Vietnam? That’s tricky. Phu Quoc, that’s the biggest island, right? I was there in 2023, the beaches were amazing. Seriously, white sand, crystal clear water. I spent a week sunbathing. Heaven.
Fansipan, now that’s a monster of a mountain! I’ve seen pictures. It looks terrifying to climb. I’m not a hiker, though. Never been.
Mekong River? That one’s HUGE. It flows through several countries, only part is in Vietnam. Saw it in Can Tho this year. The boats were insane. So many. Absolutely packed. A total river city scene.
Son Doong Cave! I read about it. Ridiculously massive. A whole jungle inside. I want to go but it’s, like, super expensive and you need a guided tour.
Ho Chi Minh City? Biggest city, population-wise, for sure. I was there last year, and wow, it’s crazy busy. Millions of motorbikes everywhere! Exhaust fumes, noise.. chaos. But exciting, too. Lots of street food.
Hanoi’s huge in area, I think. Been there, too. Much more relaxed than Ho Chi Minh City. Beautiful Old Quarter. Lots of history. Prefer it honestly.
So yeah, depends what you mean by biggest. It’s not a simple answer. Each one is impressive in its own way. I’m adding some pics to my travel blog later.

What national park is near Hoi An?
Bach Ma. It’s close, yeah. Less than two hours from Hoi An. I remember the drive. Dusty roads. The air… thick, sweet.
It was 2024. Hot. Exhausting. But beautiful. So beautiful. I should go back.
- Stunning views. Seriously breathtaking. Mountains, jungle. I think I took some blurry pictures. Probably deleted them by now.
- Hikes. Lots of them. Challenging, exhausting, but worth it. The waterfalls… those were special.
- Oriental Sky Travel. That’s who I booked with. They were good. Reliable. Professional. I’d use them again. I hope.
The park itself… felt ancient. Powerful. Humble. I needed that. That trip… a blur now. A good blur. But a blur nonetheless. The memories fading.
Such a shame.
