How do you get around in Da Nang?

Da Nang transportation: Best ways to get around Da Nang, Vietnam?

Okay, so Da Nang, Vietnam… getting around? Lemme tell ya, I been there. Here’s the scoop from my own travels, not just some article regurgitated:

Da Nang Transportation Options:

• Motorbike Rental: Flexible, cheap (around 150,000 VND/day), but need confidence on Vietnamese roads.
• Taxi/Grab: Easy, comfy, pricier.
• Bus: Super cheap, routes a bit confusing.
• Cyclo: Touristy, slow, good for short distances.
• Walking: Limited to central areas.
• Private Car: Day trips/airport transfer.

Motorbike’s honestly the way to see Da Nang. I rented one (think it was near My Khe beach, cost me like $7 USD, day rate!) and zipppped all over. Freedom, baby.

But okay, that’s not for everyone. Taxis and Grabs are plentiful. Just, uh, make sure the meter is running. One time a taxi driver tried to “negotiate” a higher price… yikes.

The bus? Super cheap. Like, ridiculously cheap. But you REALLY need to know your route. I got lost once, ended up in some random neighborhood. Adventure!

Cyclos? Fun once. Seriously, only ONCE. It’s slow, and you kinda feel like you’re putting someone through physical labor, so… yeah.

Walking? Great for chilling along the Han River. But Da Nang’s BIG. You can’t WALK everywhere, unless you really like sweat.

Private car? Used it for a trip to Ba Na Hills. Worth it for comfort and getting there fast, but def more $$.
