Okay, so you wanna get a Vietnam e-visa, eh? It’s pretty straight forward, actully. It lets you stay there for up to 90 days, either just once or going in and out a few times.

Basically, if you’re chilling outside of Vietnam and, like, wanna visit, you can just apply for it yourself. Simple! The form is online, pretty easy to fill out.

• Go to the official Vietnam Immigration website. Don’t use some dodgy third-party site, they’ll just rip you off, trust me. I know from experience, my cuz paid, like, way too much using one. It was like $50 when it should have been $25.
• Fill out the application. Have your passport ready cuz they ask for all that info. Oh! And a photo. A decent one, unlike the one on my driver’s license, haha.
• Pay the fee. It’s usually around $25 USD, but check the website to be sure. Fees change, ya know?
• Wait. You’ll get an email…eventually, if you’re lucky, the approval usually take a couple of days, not too bad, but it could be longer, espcially if they’re busy. Check your spam folder too! I almost missed mine lol.

Once you get the e-visa, print it out and take it with you. You’ll need it when you arrive in Vietnam. Have your passport too, obviously. I always bring backup copies of everything just in case. And, uh, yeah, that’s it! Have fun in Vietnam! It’s great! I went to Hanoi last year. Really good food! And, oh! Don’t forget to check if you need any other visas or anything if you’re travelling to other countries. You know, play it safe.

• Avoid the “Bad List”. Article 21 is Vietnam’s VIP room’s bouncer, and nobody wants to get on the wrong side of the bouncer. My cousin Vinny did once, big mistake, HUGE.

So yeah, that’s the gist. Don’t be inside Vietnam already, flash a legit passport, and don’t have a rep sheet longer than my grocery list. Easy peasy.
