Ugh, Bhutan from Europe? Crazy long journey. First, you’ll need to get to Frankfurt. Flying’s the only sensible option, right? Maybe a train to a nearby airport? No, Frankfurt.

Frankfurt Airport, Frankfurt Airport… gotta remember that.

Then, Paro. Paro Airport in Bhutan. That’s the international airport. I’ve seen pics, stunning scenery. Planes, planes… flights will be expensive, probably.

From Frankfurt, easy peasy. Numerous airlines service Paro, I reckon. Check Skyscanner. Seriously, though, look for deals. Don’t be a chump.

And then… taxi. A taxi from the airport in Paro to wherever you’re staying. Simple.

Important Note: Visa requirements are a total pain. Check those well in advance. I almost missed my trip because of this! Also, pack layers, the weather changes super fast. Seriously. I got drenched one day.

My trip was in 2024. Flights took about 16 hours total including layover. Cost me around $1,200 but that was during peak season. Probably cheaper now. Maybe.
