Unfortunately, standard UK visa applications cannot be upgraded to priority once submitted and payment has been made. This is because the Home Office assigns resources and schedules appointments based on the application type and processing timeframe.

What Are Your Options?

If your application has not yet been processed, you have two options:

• Withdraw and Reapply: You can withdraw your application and reapply, selecting priority processing this time. However, you will need to pay the application fee again.
• Contact UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI): You can contact UKVI to inquire about the status of your application. While they cannot upgrade your application to priority, they may provide guidance and advice.

When to Consider Priority Processing

Priority processing is advisable if:

• You need a visa urgently for a specific event or travel plan.
• You have a tight deadline and cannot afford to wait for standard processing.
