How to get to Ninh Van Bay, Vietnam?

Okay, so Ninh Van Bay? Totally secluded. You can’t just drive there.

It’s all about the boat. Seriously, water taxi only.

If you’re lucky enough to be at the Six Senses resort, they whisk you away from Nha Trang by speedboat – a breezy 20-minute zip. Cost? I wish I remembered, it was included in our package.

Getting to Nha Trang itself? Cam Ranh Airport (CXR) is your best bet. I flew in from Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) in July 2022 – about an hour flight, pretty standard.

Think of it – arriving in Nha Trang then a short, fast boat ride to paradise. That’s Ninh Van Bay for you.

Where is Ninh Van Bay, Vietnam?

Ninh Van Bay? It’s tucked away, you know, on the Hon Meo Peninsula. Totally gorgeous. I was there in 2023, July, I think. The heat was brutal. Seriously brutal.

Khanh Hoa province. Northeast of Nha Trang. Nha Trang is crazy busy, a total tourist trap, honestly. Ninh Van Bay is the total opposite. Peace and quiet. Except for the monkeys. So many monkeys! They were cheeky little buggers.

The water? Crystal clear, yeah, that’s right. Absolutely stunning. Swam every day. Snorkeling was amazing. Saw tons of fish. Seriously. The beaches were pristine. White sand. Perfect. I felt so relaxed. Totally zen.

  • Location: Hon Meo Peninsula, Khanh Hoa Province, Vietnam. Northeast of Nha Trang.
  • Time of visit: July 2023.
  • Key features: Incredible beaches, crystal clear water, amazing snorkeling, cheeky monkeys.
  • Personal feeling: Completely peaceful and relaxing. A total escape.

Oh, and the rock formations! Dramatic. Seriously impressive. Made for some awesome photos. I spent a fortune on postcards. My phone was full of pics.

I even tried some local seafood. The freshest I’ve ever had. Best food ever. I’ll go back. Definitely. Next year maybe.
