It was parked near the Titanic Museum. Remember that place? Tourist trap, but kinda cool. Anyway, this bus – yellow, of course – dwarfed everything around it. Seriously, it was like a yellow whale.

Felt ridiculous taking pictures. I mean, who takes pictures of school buses? Me, apparently. But this was no ordinary bus. This was a behemoth. My kids were with me, seven and nine then, they were freaking out. It even had extra steps up the rear.

It made my minivan look like a toy. A tiny, pathetic toy car. The sheer size of that thing was unbelievable. I had to walk past it three times.
