Is Canada in km or miles?

Okay, so Canada uses kilometers, which is pretty cool! I remember visiting once and being so confused by the speed limits at first, haha. But it makes sense, right? I mean, most of the world uses the metric system, and honestly, its just way more logical than miles in my opinion. Its a more straightforward approach. It might have been a little confusing in 1977, but for me its great.

Canada uses kilometers, which is kinda cool, isn’t it? I mean, miles? Seriously? Remember that time I went to Canada? The speed limits totally threw me at first – I kept thinking, “Whoa, 100 what?! That’s like, sixty-something… right?” It took a second to adjust. But honestly? Kilometers make way more sense. It’s all based on tens, it’s so much easier to calculate things in your head! Miles are just…weird. They’re all wonky fractions and stuff. Like, 5,280 feet in a mile? Who came up with that?

I remember my grandpa, bless his heart, he grumbled about the metric system when they started using it more in the seventies. He was a mechanic, and it was a huge change for him. He was born and raised using imperial units, so it must’ve been like learning a whole new language, you know? But honestly? For someone like me, who grew up with the metric system, it feels completely natural. It’s just how things are. Maybe it was confusing back in ’77 – a real adjustment period, I bet – but for me, it’s just… normal. So yeah, kilometers in Canada. Makes perfect sense. And it’s easier to figure out how far I’ve driven on a road trip, too!
