Is Canada in km or miles?
Okay, so Canada uses kilometers, which is pretty cool! I remember visiting once and being so confused by the speed limits at first, haha. But it makes sense, right? I mean, most of the world uses the metric system, and honestly, its just way more logical than miles in my opinion. Its a more straightforward approach. Miles are just…weird. They’re all wonky fractions and stuff. Like, 5,280 feet in a mile? Who came up with that?
I remember my grandpa, bless his heart, he grumbled about the metric system when they started using it more in the seventies. He was a mechanic, and it was a huge change for him. He was born and raised using imperial units, so it must’ve been like learning a whole new language, you know? But honestly? For someone like me, who grew up with the metric system, it feels completely natural. It’s just how things are.
