Krabi, huh? It’s not bad, price-wise. Seventy bucks a day, give or take. Went there in 2024 with my sister, Sarah. Stayed near Ao Nang – crazy beautiful beaches. Not cheap-cheap like, say, Vietnam. But def cheaper than Singapore or Japan. We ate street food alot. Pad See Ew, amazing. Like, two bucks. Cocktails, five, six bucks. Found a cool cooking class, cost like, 30 bucks. Good deal! But, like, hotels can vary alot, obv. We got lucky, decent place, nice pool, forty bucks a night. Scooters were cheap to rent too – helped us get around. Saw some fancy resorts tho. Def more expensive. Tiger Cave Temple is a must-see. Free to enter, but man, the stairs. Killer! Sarah almost didnt make it.

• Food: Street food super cheap. Restaurants, mid-range.
• Drinks: Cocktails affordable. Local beer, even cheaper.
• Activities: Lots of free stuff, like beaches and temples. Tours, bit more pricy.
• Transport: Scooters very affordable. Taxis, a little more.
• Accommodation: Budget friendly guesthouses to fancy resorts. Big range.
• My sister: Complained the whole time about the heat. lol.
• Tip: Bargaining is expected in markets, dont be shy!

Okay so like, Krabi’s got the real Thailand vibe, right? Phuket is amazing for like, first timers maybe. Or if you NEED a Starbucks on every corner. Krabi’s got Ao Nang which is a good compromise. And island hopping from Krabi is way better. Phi Phi Islands are closer, more choices! We saw a monkey! In Phuket, you’re kinda stuck on Phuket Island mostly. James Bond Island is overrated. Food in Phuket IS good though. Street food everywhere. Mango sticky rice for days. My aunt went to Phuket last year and loved it because of the markets. I am thinking Krabi is the best though, obviously.

• Markets: Phuket again.
• Islands: Krabi all the way.

Phuket…so many restaurants. I love Pad Thai. Krabi is prettier. That Railay beach…wow.

Luxury Hotels? Phuket I think. More high-end options. But Krabi hotels are closer to nature.

• Krabi Pros: Beauty, beaches, relaxed vibe. It is a long travel for me. I might get mad if I travel for a long time.

So, both? If you got the time, yeah! Why not. I’d stay in Krabi longer. Less crazy.

What is the best way to get from Phuket to Krabi?

Ferry, totally. Rassada Pier, yeah, in Phuket. Two hours, bam, you’re in Krabi. They got like, A/C inside. Seats, obvi. Snacks, too. Like, drinks and stuff. Comfy, def recommend, it’s chill.

• Two-hour trip, give or take.
• Air-conditioned.

My friend, Mark, he went last week. Said it was smooth sailing. He got some pics, I’ll send ’em. Super nice. He went to Railay Beach after. I’m going next month, myself! I wanna hit up Ao Nang. Ferries leave pretty often, too, so it’s easy to just show up and go. Last time I took a ferry, um… it was like… maybe two years ago? Yeah, 2023. From Koh Lanta to… somewhere. Different, but same same, ya know? Oh, and bring Dramamine if you get seasick. Don’t wanna hurl. Not fun.
