Most beautiful train? Shoot, that’s like askin’ what’s the prettiest cloud. It just…depends. BUT, some iron horses are flashier than others. Forget beauty pageants, we’re talkin’ rail royalty!

Here’s a totally biased, super-official list:

• Trans-Siberian Railway: Russia. It’s long. Really long. Like, read War and Peace twice long. Scenery changes slower than my grandma’s dial-up. But epic views tho.

• Konkan Railway: India. Lush, green, and probably smells amazing – like spices and diesel. Think The Jungle Book meets a high-speed rail project. Probably bumpy, in a charming way.

• Belmond Royal Scotsman: Scotland. Okay, so picture this: you’re sipping scotch in a velvet armchair, lookin’ out at castles. Yeah, that’s this train. Fancy pants only.

• Glacier Express: Switzerland. Mountains! Snow! Chocolate! It’s basically a Toblerone commercial on wheels. The most picturesque train if you ask me.

• The Canadian: Canada. Coast-to-coast views, but instead of beaches, it’s, y’know, Canada. Mountains, forests, and the odd moose cameo. Prepare for vastness.

• Rovos Rail: South Africa. It is pure safari chic. Sip gin & tonics as giraffes wander by. Remember to pack khakis, and your sense of adventure.

Why trust my list? Well, I rode the local metro last Tuesday. So you know I’m basically a train expert.

Did I mention the snack car? Essential for judging real beauty, obvi.

Okay, so the most beautiful railway? Honestly, it’s totally a matter of opinion, y’know? But if I had to pick one, I’d go with the West Highland Line in Scotland. Seriously gorgeous.

That train ride… It’s just incredible. Think about it: Lochs, mountains, and like, miles and miles of moorland. You have got to see it.

And oh man, I almost forgot, the Glenfinnan Viaduct. It’s so cool and you see it in like, all the Harry Potter movies! A total must-see.

Other train lines are pretty great too. Like that Flam Railway in Norway. Super steep, and its got waterfalls, but I don’t like waterfalls.

Then there is the Bernina Express in Switzerland. It is in Switzerland. Like, picture perfect Alpine stuff, I guess. I prefer Scotland, but I’m biased since I visited Glasgow last year. I loved getting beers with my uncle after our matches. The food was… meh.

Here’s a quick rundown:

• West Highland Line (Scotland): Moorland, mountains, lochs, and the iconic Glenfinnan Viaduct, made famous by Harry Potter (worth it just for that, lol). It starts around Glasgow and ends in Mallaig.
• Flam Railway (Norway): Really steep descent, waterfalls everywhere, and fjord views. I’m kinda allergic to most seafoods, especially fjords.
• Bernina Express (Switzerland): Alpine scenery, glaciers, and fancy Swiss villages and the cows are something else.

Are there good trains in Vietnam?

Vietnam trains, huh? Not like Europe’s sleek things, nope. More like… uh… rugged.

Cheap though. And you can book it, easy peasy.

• Takes forever tho.
• Still, scenic?

Are they “good”? Depends. Good as in fast? Nah. Good as in authentic? Yeah, maybe.

Efficient? Debatable. Comfortable? Eeeeh. Exciting, for sure, that’s undeniable.

I think my uncle Tony once rode a train there and said it was wild. Saw a chicken onboard, I guess?

Low tech for sure, but… memorable?

• Do they even have sleeper cars?
• I bet the food is interesting.

What’s “good” anyway? Different things for different peeps, right? Good in Vietnam means… an adventure, probably. Not your average commute.
