Then Ho Chi Minh City. Chaos. Motorbikes. So many people. Energy. Felt alive there. Different kind of beauty. Raw.

Wasn’t I just there? Last year? Or was it a dream? The War Remnants Museum. Heavy. Always heavy.

Hanoi? Ancient charm, a cyclo ride away from delicious street food. Think Paris, but with better pho. Hanoi’s a must.

Ha Long Bay? A thousand limestone karsts, each one a postcard begging to be sent. Seriously, it’s like Mother Nature went wild with the sculpting tools. Stunning.

Hoi An? Tailor-made clothes and lanterns hanging like fireflies. You’ll leave with a new wardrobe and a sun-kissed glow. A foodie paradise. Nha Trang’s beaches? Picture-perfect, like a holiday brochure, minus the cheesy smiles.

Phong Nha-Ke Bang? Caves so enormous, they swallow your soul whole (metaphorically, of course. Though I did almost lose my sunglasses once…). Adventure awaits. Sapa’s rice terraces? Breathtaking. Seriously, breathtaking. Like emerald steps leading to the heavens.

Ho Chi Minh City? A chaotic symphony of scooters and street life. Imagine New York City, if New York City were in Southeast Asia and smelled of delicious coffee. Modern Vietnam at its finest. The Mekong Delta? Floaty-boat rides and floating markets. What’s not to love?

The “best” part? Depends on your soul’s craving, really. Last time I was in Vietnam (2023), I spent most of my time in Hanoi eating Banh Mi. Seriously, the best I ever had. My friend, Sarah, swore by the beaches in Nha Trang. She’s obsessed with tanning and Instagram. We have very different tastes.

Sapa rice terraces. Layers upon layers of green. Majestic in their simplicity. Mu Cang Chai’s terraces are even more dramatic. Worth the trek.

Hoi An’s ancient town is charming. Tailored clothes fit perfectly. Lanterns glow at night. Food scene is incredible. Cao lầu noodles are a must.

Hue’s Imperial City holds history. A tangible connection to Vietnam’s past. Consider visiting the tombs outside the city. Forgotten stories wait.

Personally, I find Da Lat captivating. French colonial architecture. Cool mountain air. Crazy House is…an experience. Flowers everywhere.

Mekong Delta’s floating markets burst with life. The river defines the rhythm. A different energy.

Phong Nha caves. World-class. Paradise Cave blew my mind. Literally massive. Dark, mysterious.

Con Dao Islands. Pristine. Untouched beauty. Sea turtles nesting. Diving is exceptional. A hidden gem.
